beginning

like our abode, 
extending out to 
others, 
those you 
stumble across outdoors, 
our workplaces and
neighbors, 
those near and dear,
and slowly 
extending out to
society, 
the hurting and poor, 
our brothers and sisters, 
ourselves we forgo.
