I wonder if some of it is because of AI. Then again, I know I overuse "while."

Now, granted these word choices are not outright crimes like confusing “less” and “fewer.” Or confusing “effect” and “affect” (while being cognizant that “affect” can sometimes function as a noun). But c’mon folks, quit being lazy!
