You so tugged at my heart. My mom has been gone more than 20 years now. I will always miss her. I've tried to explain to our children that even a gift that misses the mark is special because it will be remembered. Sadly, we submitted years ago to fulfilling a list of wants. Some of the stuff we buy, we don't even know what it is. LOL. Thanks for a great piece of writing.
