Dealing with everyday anxiety can feel like the old Whack-a-Mole game as you whack one stress and another one pops up.

Remember those carefree childhood days?

No worry.

No fear.

Just un-obliterated delight and adventure?

I don’t.

As long as I can remember, my closet had a boogie man, lurking — waiting with a raspy breath, under my bed.

Its name is Anxiety.

The Anxiety and Depression Association of America cites anxiety disorders to be the most common mental disorders in the U.S. Furthermore, 1 in 13 people around the world suffer from anxiety including an estimated 8% of children and teenagers.

It’s important to understand the difference between everyday anxiety and anxiety disorder.
