This has been a difficult week/month for me. Early Tuesday morning, Better Half transitioned from this physical world to a better place where the ailments of a physical body are no longer a burden. It seems strange to be putting this in the ‘gratitude and thankfulness’ section, but it’s where it belongs. The passing was so easy and peaceful. They simply drifted off into a deeper and deeper sleep until they were gone. No distress. Never any pain. And the three year long fight with cancer is over for them, which is a blessing, despite the pain of losing them.
