Watch Out! Medium’s Grim Reaper Strikes With No Explanation
Toni the Talker Has Been Banished — Again!
Just when you think it’s safe to relax, the Grim Reaper takes out a writer with no explanation. It appears the burden of proof falls on the victim, in this case, Toni the Talker.
It’s difficult to imagine Toni breaking any known rules, given her reputation for writing and character. If you know her, you know that her ultimate goal is to help other writers.
So, how could this happen?
It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time this has happened. In fact, almost exactly a year ago, she went through the very same ordeal. The coincidence is certainly striking, and it begs the question: what’s going on here?
A quick Google search asking how this could happen gave this response:
We do not allow content or accounts that engage in on-platform, off-platform, or cross-platform campaigns of targeting, harassment, hate speech, violence, or disinformation. We may consider off-platform actions in assessing a Medium account, and restrict access or availability to that account.
Digging deeper, I found an exhaustive list of obvious no-nos that I would bet my last dollar, Toni did not engage in.
