Picture this imaginary scene of Ernest Hemmingway on safari.

He stands tall and triumphant, his weathered face adorned with a victorious smile. The golden savannah stretched before him, basking in the warm African sunlight. The unmistakable scent of the wilderness, a fusion of dry grass and distant acacias, lingers in the air.

His trusty Winchester Model 70 rests on his shoulder, still warm from the shot that just echoed across the plains. A majestic lion lays peacefully at his feet, a testament to his marksmanship and the primal dance of the hunt. He lights a Cuban cigar saved for just such an occasion.

NOTE: This story is not about animal rights or protection, so for the purpose of this writing, I will let Ernest get away with this in a pretend setting.

Back at the camp, the crackling fire welcomes him with its warmth while he shares a meal cooked over the fire with his comrades. Later, with a glass of whiskey in hand, he settles into his canvas chair, placed before a portable desk, holding his beloved Royal Quiet Deluxe typewriter, and begins to write beneath the starlit sky.

Now fast forward about 90 years to 2023 —
