Why Read for Read Followers are the Smart Choice
Have you ever been held hostage, tortured waterboard-style with words in place of water? Well, if you apply that concept to writing it works the same. Expecting readers will find your words fascinating upon first glance happens, but it’s rare. If I’m honest, my interest in others peaks when they show interest in me. It’s not always the case, but it is an efficient way to find readers who share similar interest.
Since joining a read for read club created by Indigo, my Medium experience is making a profit and, even better, I’m developing “real” relationships with great writers and readers. Before joining this club it felt like I was spitting one word at a time into the middle of Tolstoy’s “War and Peace” novel, expecting my word to stand out. I’ve been surprised by reading a few topics I thought would be a snore, walking away having learned some interesting tidbits.
